IT & the Education Reform in K12 Abstract:In Ancient, the original technology has been accumulated by the basic needs of human being, and it promotes the produce and development of science technology. About BC 600-400, Such scholars as Confucius and Socrates started to research the topic about learning, this result in the spread of technology and learning theory developing alternately. After 19th century, the technology such as photograph, films, telegraph, telephone, broadcast, television came out early or late. Since middle period of 20th century, the technology of Computer, network and telecommunication which based on micro-electronics & telesthesia promote the development of Modern Information Technology, and bring the important reform in education.The form of IT has it's inevitability . This paper analyzes the impact to reform in k12 from IT and draws the conclusions: The First, IT emphasizes the composing of technology, while IT in education stress on how to educate with IT, IT in education focus on how to realize the value of technology and stress on the application process, learning outcomes and integrating between IT & curriculum. Secondly, hierarchies about Information Technology Education(ITE) presented in this paper include three levels. Thirdly, the value of IT in education consists in IT-Based Education such as Organized-Basing, Managed-Basing and Served-Basing. Fourthly, edified by Gagne & Merrill, I describe the learning outcomes from two dimensions, one dimension is the content, the other is the performance, and modify the Content-Performance Matrix which be put forward by Merrill. Fifthly, IT may facilitate the integration of multi-subject. Finally, I introduce some models selectively and describe their application by analyzing internal and external course design examples.
