Web-based Modern Education Management Model Research And Technical Realization

Education informationization, symbolized by the operation of computer multimedia and web communication, has become the commanding height of education development from the beginning of this century. At present, we are supposed to take advantage of these high technologies to lead education management to a higher level.The thesis firstly provides a new web-based education model conception, which consists of three parts: traditional administrative-level management module, exterior linkup management module and society-oriented feedback management module. These three modules therefore form a three-dimension management platform. After finished modeling and functionality designing for this kind of new management pattern, a web-based and B/S architecture oriented education management platform was constructed employing ASP technology and SQL server database system for the purpose of practical research in the f'iel d of education informationization.This web-based three-dimension education management is made up of following modules: School affairs management subsystem, Teacher/ Student management subsystem, Synchronous/Asynchronous interactive platform subsystem, Online examination subsystem, Multimedia information on-demand subsystem, Decision support subsystem. Of course, It also has some other related subsystems for maintaining and Navigation.This article is organized as follows. Chapter 1 is a brief introduction of the research actuality in this field and the development planning. Chapter 2 discusses various aspects of the modern education management theory and gives an analysis of the development trend in the process of Education Informationization. Chapter 3 covers sometechniques and approaches used in the system development such as ASP programming technology, Web Database access and store technology, SQL Server DBMS and so on. Chapter 4 describes a new concept named 3D Education management model based on an analysis of some existing issues concerning the current education management pattern. After that, a modeling was given for the sake of technically realizing such web-based MIS platform. Chapter 5 deals with the functionalities designing for this system. Chapter 6, the relatively important part, contains all the processes in detail as well as some source codes critical to the system. In the last chapter, the author treats mainly the issues such as system' s extensibility, data integration and data security. For the purpose of further studies in this field, the author pointed out a promising direction at the end of this article.
