This paper, first of all, discusses the relationship between the folk custom and fundamental education and its teaching activities, the necessity to study the influence of the folk custom on the fundamental education and its teaching activities. Then through the case study of the Dongxiang Nationality Autonomous County, it discusses the influence of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom on the fundamental education and its teaching activities. Finally, it puts forward the corresponding countermeasures to these issues. Concretely speaking, this paper mainly discusses the following aspects: In the introduction, on the basis of explaining the concept of the folk custom, it discusses the influence of the folk custom on the fundamental education and its teaching activities from the point of material, spiritual, social and language folk custom respectively, the way in which it has influence, that is, besides material, mainly by way of psychology, the behavior and the value choice. Then according to this way of thinking, it discusses the reaction of the fundamental education to the folk custom. This is the framework of theory. Considering the reality of the educational theory on the minority nationality and the minority regions, the author thinks it quite necessary to study the influence of the folk custom on the fundamental education and its teaching activities. American cultural anthropologist Ruth Benedict argues: "According to the dogma and the scope of generalization, to all-sidely generalize the culture is nothing." So, in order to have a better understanding of the influence of the folk custom on the fundamental education and its teaching activities, we select the Dongxiang Nationality Autonomous County as the case for study. In the chapter about the ways and methods of research, the author concisely introduces the theory paradigm for the study of the folk custom, the selection of study objects and the concrete research methods. In the research background, the author concisely introduces the previous researches on this issue and their problems and the general picture of the Dongxiang Nationality Autonomous County. In the Dongxiang nationality's culture, firstly, the author studies the general picture of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom and discusses its cultural type, the social system that transmits its traditional culture, the people's world outlook and life outlook and the misunderstanding towards educational concept and its causes. Secondly, the author studies the micro-respect of the Dongxiang folk custom's phenomenon on the basis of describing the phenomenon, and tries to give a preliminary interpretation to its cultural connotation. In the influence of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom on the fundamental educationand its teaching activities, from the point of macro-respect, the author discusses the influence of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom on the conditions of running the fundamental schools, the rate of schooling, the rate of drop out(or the rate of maintaining)and school-aged girls' education. From the point of micro-respect, the paper starts from two dimensions, in the still dimension it respectively discusses the influence of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom on the seven elements of teaching activities, that is, the objective, the curriculum, the teacher, the student, the methodology, the environment and the feedback; In the motive dimension, it discusses the influence of the Dongxiang nationality's folk custom on the process of teaching activities. In the reflection and options, firstly, after the reconsideration of the Dongxiang nationality's culture and fundamental education and its teaching activities, the author points out that the Dongxiang nationality's culture is closed and the fundamental education and its teaching activities are non-national.
