The school image, as the public opinion and evaluation and public requirement and standard of the school. It is the consistent impression left on the public by the school, the school activity and school fruit. The school image has four essential properties: Comprehensiveness, comparatively stability, unity of the objectivity and subjectivity, and public interest.A good school image will facilitate the school to adjust itself to the opening- up and the development of market economy. It is also the requirement of school education reform, of reconstructing the present school image in our country, and of meeting the challenges and opportunities resulted from China's entry into WTO. It is of great strategic and realistic significance for the survival and development of the school. The great significance of a good school image is inseparable from it's multiple functions which includes, the function of obtaining support to create the sound external atmosphere, the function of attracting intellectuals to purse the school's sustainable development, the function of coordinating to contribute together to education, the function of stimulating and standardizing to strengthen the management.The school image, not only includes the school's form, which is what we see statically, such as, the school appearance, facility, signs, etc, but also includes the school's character, which is the essential traits of the school represented when attending social activities, such as, the school's spirit, management level, efficiency, reputation, quality of the intellectuals. The school image is the comprehensive image of its external traits and its essential traits, and it is a complexity formed by many image factors which includes, the image of the school's working staff, of its material atmosphere, of its spiritual and cultural image, of its rules and regulations, of its signs, and of its public relationship. These factors constitutes the foundation of the school's image. The quality of the school's image is subject not only to its constituents, but also to the public object and mass media. Only if adequate consideration and attention have been given to these influential factors, can a specific overall mould of image be achieved.To mould the school's image, there is, first of all, a need to make analysis of the school's present image, i.e. to make analysis of the school's self-expecting image and the school's actual public image, and then to find between them the discrepancy on the basis of which, according to the principle of molding the school image, the object of theschool image is to be established and the plan of molding school image is to be made. The third step in molding a good school image is to make the school image mould object and plan into practice, and to conduct a wholly molding in view of the three influential factors: firstly, to strengthen the awareness of the school image, and construct well the constituents of the school, and lay a solid foundation for the good school image; secondly, to establish public awareness, and correctly tackle the relationship between the school and the public, inside the school and outside alike, and mould the school's good public image; Third, to establish the awareness of transmission and give full scope to the transmission factor, to publicize effectively the school image.
