The public relation language is of an instructive medium done with the affairs of public relations and human beings.It is purposeful and mobile. This thesis discusses the characteristics and pragmatic strategy of the public relation language compared with the non-public relation languages such as the working language; daily used language;and the language of literary and artistic creation and so on.The important points of this thesis are as the following:I. The Public Relation Languge and Its Charateristics:The public relation language refers to the purposeful speaking activities and its results in public relation propagation and social intercourse. It includes:I.I EmotionalizationIn public relation propagation, "emotion" is always expressed substancially in the public relation language.I.I.I Symbolization of language emotionEmotion in the public relation language embodies the use of language symbol through plain feelings associated with people .I.I.II Expression of language emotion by soundsIt mainly refers to conveying meaning and feeling by sound in verbal language.I.I.III Materialization of language emotionIt is typically to make things alive in order to communicate with the public.I.II InspirationThe aim to public relation propagation and social intercourse is of communication and the most important thing is to exchange imformation. The key to exchange imformation is that the language should be inspiring.So the inspiration of public language refers to a motive force to the public.This inspiration is realized by rhetoric such as metaphor, exaggeration etc.I.HI PartenershipParteners of public relation language are the public. There are great difference among the public. So the public relation language should be based on different parteners so that we can select different materials and expressing ways to achieve certain results.Those differences mainly reflect on using simple or complex;serious or lively words.II. Pragmatic strategy of public relation languageIt refers to the strategic use of public relation language or the strategy of language communication.II.I Strategy of politeness and cooperationPoliteness and cooperation are mutually useful.Cooperation refers to the truth which indicates the factual materials and accurate expressing ways, while politeness refers to kindness which mainly means honesty and modesty. So cooperation includes politeness and politeness embodies cooperation.In language communication,the strategy of politeness and cooperation can be realized through a mild tone; roundabout and polite words etc.II.II Strategy of logicLogic here refers to man's mental principles. But the logic of public relation language is a kind of thought that has a certain exchange of information. So it is always typical and special. Information here is by no means expressed by traditionally boring, mechanical, decisive, inferring and conceptual words. So the logical inference which is often used in public language is the inference of judgement; instruction and measurement Its main functions are predictive; retorting and anti-logical.
