In recent twenty years, pulping & paper-making machinery has been developing quickly. Many machines for pulping & paper-making industry have been innovated. Creative and practical technicians are urgently needed with the develop of pulping & paper-making industry. But, as a method of training ambidextrous technicians, this curriculum is of strong practice, so it's difficult for teachers to impress students lively and profoundly only by lectures on the working principle and concrete structures of the machines for pulping & paper-making industry. Meanwhile, contents in the traditional teaching materials, which are being used, are behind the advanced technology of the machines in other countries. So, we have to search other pedagogies to enhance teaching effects. The up-to-date technology of computer and multimedia, which developed at full speed in recent years, provide us a method to program a courseware for machines in pulping & paper-making industry. The courseware utilizes multimedia technology to introduce and demonstrate the function, structure, working principle, characteristic, effecting factors and typical machines of pulping & paper-making machinery and device. The current courseware only include demo module of defibraters and filtration. It is easy to add modules of other pulping & paper-making machines because of the open ability of this courseware. The multimedia CAI courseware not only can help teachers demonstrate the principle, structure of pulping & paper-making machines to students but also provide an assisting method to students when they study independently. And with the review function students deepen understanding on the function, structure, working principle of pulping & paper-making machinery. The last two functions inspect students' learning effects.
