From the cognitive angle, the article initially studies both mathematical cognitive structure ?the key factor which affects students' mathematics learning and its teaching. Firstly, the article points out the meaning of studying it, puts forward the author's own opinion on the boundary of its concept and concretely analyzes the cognitive function of perfect mathematical cognitive structure. Secondly, by investigating the individual distinction of the senior high school students in the aspect of mathematical cognitive structure, the article probes into the manifestation and cause of the distinction. Then, the article studies the effect which mathematical cognitive structure has on mathematics learning from theoretical level. Finally, the article points out the inspiration to mathematics teaching and raises the main teaching strategies. Particularly speaking, the article chiefly expounds the following opinions:1 .The study of mathematical cognitive structure is of great importance to understand the psychological mechanism of mathematics learning more profoundly. The study will promote the development of mathematics learning theory. In addition, it will help teachers to realize that the essence of mathematics learning is that the process of constructing mathematical cognitive structure. It will help teachers to understand the condition of students' mathematical cognitive structure consciously and initiatively. Besides that, the study of manifestation and cause of distinction in mathematical cognitive structure among students helps teachers to improve teaching strategies, remedy teaching fault, reduce cognitive distinction among students and teach students in accordance with their aptitude to promote change of lagging students.2. According to the up-to-minute development of meta-cognitive theory, mathematical meta-cognitive structure should be the substructure of mathematical cognitive structure .We should not confine it to mathematical knowledge structure and mathematical recognition structure. In the view of system theory, it should embody mathematical knowledge system, mathematical cognitive operation system and mathematical meta-cognitive system.3.During mathematics learning, the effect that mathematical cognitive structure has on students' thought forms its cognitive function. Besides having the function of storage,memory and operation, the important function of perfect mathematical cognitive structure contains motivation, choice, explanation, construction, extraction, transfer, production, change, activation, conquering tendency, adjustment and problem solving.4.During the investigation of distinction in mathematical cognitive structure, the author uses statistical sampling method. By test-analysis, observation, conversation and exchanging with teachers, the qualitative and quantitative analysis is made. The conclusion shows good students and lagging students have a great distinction in mathematical cognitive structure. First, they differ in the quantity, expression, organization and type of knowledge. Second, they differ in the level of thinking development. Third, they differ in the quantity, layer and choice of cognitive strategies. At last, they differ in meta-cognitive monitoring and adjustment. Finally, the article probes into the cause leading the distinction from the angle of teaching. By analyzing, there are four main causes: teachers lack deep understanding to students, the cognitive level of lagging students can't suit the teaching surroundings which teachers create, teachers emphasize the skill of solving problem and neglect students to understand and use mathematical ideas and methods, lagging students have less chance of exchange than good students.5.The study of mathematical cognitive structure gives mathematics teaching the important inspiration: students are the main body in mathematics learning.
