Research On CELTS-based Intelligent Tutoring System On The WWW

Today with the requirement for lifetime and global education, the development of computer and Internet, learning online is becoming good mode, and distance educational systems based on Internet will play more and more important roles in the furture.Chinese E-Learning Technology Standardization Committee gives Chinese E-Learning Technology Standardization(CELTS) in 2002. The standard is in favor of data communion , sharing, and interoperation in different distance learning platform. So it provides helpful precondition and practical significance.The first application of computer in education was CAI fifty years ago. With the requirement for the quality of learning online, individual learning is necessary direction. During the process of researching it intelligent tutoring system base on web(WITS)is a important problem. This paper at first introduces and analyses ITS's development, traditional system structure, then gives a framework of WITS based on CELTS. The system can instructe different learner in two levels and three phases. At last the paper uses fully learning data according CELTS, constructs theory and methord of implementing system. The theory has two aspects: gives imprecise learning methords using rules when sequencing initially, such as introducing, narrating emphases and so on; during the process of learning , we construct a fuzzy evaluating model using the data of scores, learning time and browsing times, and adjust scores with learning objects. Then we can inference more precice learning strategy based on the result of evaluation, such as searching previous knowledge units, learning current knowledge units repeatly.Individual learning and WITS are relate with computer science, education, psychology and other subjects. Because of their difficulty the actual application maybe need a longtime research. This paper integrates CELTS into them, makes good attampt on how to implementing the practicality and generality of WITS.
