The education of outlook on career for university students is playing a more and more important role, along with the steady dispelling of "the arranged allocation by government" which as a rigid policy before will be transformed to a new mechanism under which the government gives a directive policy and students choose jobs independently. Because "two-way and voluntary choices" brings not only changes in employment pattern but also challenges in psychology and thoughts.What problems could the education of outlook on career for university students settle exactly? We once made a mistake that it was important to help them find good jobs instead of themselves, so we provided them with the most valuable information, taught them how to look for employment and guided them necessary occupational skill. However, it didn't work well in reality, because some students who had found good jobs were not satisfied with their work in practice, and they felt blank and fickle. Thus we can see that the current education of outlook on career could not meet the needs of career development of the students nowadays.Universities should develop consciously students' career awareness, career behaviors and career capabilities rather than view their employments in a changeless sight which just answered them concerned questions and provided them with helps and thanks to appointing some occupations. We should make a special effort to educate them how to get clear self-conception, take vigorous and effective self-control and maintain a sense of self-responsibility. So they would have the courage to choose, decide and operate them. The thesis centers the system of the education of choosing jobs on their whole career development, to help students understand the tri-relations of themselves, career and social, to heighten their capability of programming and developing the career, to face correctly career worldso as to integrate national needs with individual development into choices.The thesis first defined the education of outlook on career for university students, then presents main content, principles and ways of the education of outlook on career with Chinese characteristics on the basis of analyzing its history and development in domestic and abroad.
