Along with the development of the information technology, instructional quality and learning outcomes of web-based education have been greatly improved. Many researches have proved that "interactive learning with information technology" may lead to better study than "interactive learning without information technology". As an integral part of information technology, BBS can develop the high-level cognition of the learners when integrated into instructional activity. With an aim to studying the application of BBS into teaching, the thesis analyzes the current researches of BBS instructional application both at home and abroad. Based on the related theories and the latest education concepts, the thesis endeavors to provide a frame of the BBS teaching system functions, a feasible instructional model and the basic procedures of BBS instructional application. In addition, the thesis supplies a variety of available online evaluation methods of BBS instructional application and makes a research on the teaching and learning activities in BBS instruction so as to help the teacher solve the problems of group discussion in it.
