The research-oriented learning, a way of active learning, aiming to develop students, to change their learning habit, and to construct an open environment of learning, offers an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge through multi-channel and thus enables them to synthesize and apply their learning into practice. Thus cultivated are students' originality and ability. After analyzing experiments on and practice of the research-oriented learning in all subjects, this thesis, based on music teaching, summarizes four characteristics of the research-oriented learning (i.e. self experience, comprehensiveness and openness, problem solving, practice and originality) and sums up ways applicable to music teaching (e.g. seminars, combination of inside and outside class, inside class). On the basis of this, the thesis expounds how to organize and to carry out the research-oriented learning and how to guide it effectively in music teaching and to construct experience-probing-originality mode of teaching. The final part of the thesis further analyzes and proves this by illustrating teaching experiments and classroom teaching. My teaching practice of this year has convincingly verified that the research-oriented learning has many positive influence on students: it opens up music resources; it changes students' learning habit for the better; it creates favorable conditions to cultivate their originality; it promotes their learning ability. The thesis therefore attempts to suggest: in music teaching, teacher's role be reshaped and teacher-student relationship be best readjusted.
