During recent years of my mathematics teaching, the reform of asking questions in the class is a theme that I have been paying close attention to all the time. I have been practising progressively during my instruction work. The exchange of views between the teachers and students in the class is not asking questions and answering only. Dialogue is another kind of exchange between teachers and students or between students. During such a period that the teacher and students exchange their views by dialogue, the teacher's role's status changes from the dominator of a class to a person who listens attentively, an adviser, an organizer, etc. During such a period, the status of the students' role changes from the passive one to a positive person who seeks knowledge and an initiative seeker. To some degree, the students are free. The students are believed in too.I did a teaching experiment on solving the maximum and minimum value of quadratic function in one variable with two different teaching ways: asking questions and dialogue. These two periods are studied and analyzed here.
