LiangQichao is an initiator who has very rich achievements in the field of modern school education .Not only has he made much contribution to school educational theories, but also put them into practice with his own hand. Liang has made great contribution to the modern school education progress. The paper tries to research systematically on Liang's school educational thoughts and practices .It can be divided into three parts to study:The first part gives a discussion on the exploring of school educational practices. Liang's school-educational practices can be divided into four historical periods. It was the sprouting period of Liang's school-educational thoughts from 1891 when he enrolled in Wanmu school to 1897 when he began to teach in Shiwu Academy. The basically accomplished period of Liang's was from 1897 to 1903 when he inspected America. It was the expanding period of Liang's from 1903 to 1920 when he came back to China. It was the mature period of Liang's from 1920 to 1929 when he died of an illness. The paper sketches the accomplishing locus on Liang's educational thoughts by researching riched and varied practices of Liang.The second part analyzes the content of Liang's school educational thoughts. It is generalized from following three aspectsrl.The thoughts of initiating school. Liang considered initiating school was the foundation of the reform and could save China. It was the focal point of initiating school that the government set up political colleges. He advocated to set up school educational system which consisted of primary school and middle school and college.2.The thoughts of school management. On the macroscopic aspect: Liang promoted to reforming the school system, independent system of school education. Developing school education must abide by objective law on education. Special founds of education could be established and raised through all sort of channels by government. On the microscopic aspect: Training high-qualified teachers in school, trying to begood at managing students. He stood that we should draw on advanced courses of foreign country and compiles a textbook according to character of courses.3.Teaching thoughts. LiangQichao thought that training modern persons was the purpose of school education. He advocated the teaching thoughts of developing quality-oriented education. He criticized the teaching method which "explanation" was regarded as only or best teaching method and discovered a new method that "practice and acting" was regarded as teaching principle.The third part sums up the main characteristics of LiangQichao's school educational thoughts and practice as follows: Combining theory and practice; Unifying system and foresight; Conflicting reality and dream. |
