| This thesis is directed to emotional obstacles to the junior middle school students'studies of English. It strives to make a systematic analysis on the causes of psychological barriers and probes into corresponding ways to deal with the situations from the angles of psychology, pedagogy, linguistics, psycholinguistics, history and thought science in order to improve the students'ability in oral communication and perfect their personalities. The thesis has briefly expounded the definition, importance and functions of the English oral communication ability and emotional obstacles. After summing up typical cases and analyzing the questionnaire results, it makes a penetrating study of the reasons causing the students'emotional obstacles in studying oral English in the aspects of their physical and mental characteristics, the influences of traditional Chinese culture, their mother tongue –Chinese itself, traditional relationship between teachers and students, and the examination-oriented educational system. What's more, it probes into the antidotes and measures that are helpful to remove the emotional obstacles from the students. The thesis plays a role in improving the junior middle school students in terms of English study, perfect personalities, and psychological health, and it will do some good to the students'quality and the civilization of our society. |
