PDS arose in the late of 1980s in America, it is an innovative model of teacher education which can promote teachers' professional level by the amalgamation of education theory and practice. Under the guidance of theoretical mode of education sociology and education ecology, the dissertation analyses the PDS by the analysis frame of state issues in comparative education, the element analysis, the historical reference, and comparing ways.The thesis firstly definite the dialectic relationship between education theory and practice, then analyse the background and reasons of the creation of PDS. The thesis systemically review and analyze the status quo of PDS though its' objective, main body, activity contents, school running condition etc, and summarize its' effects, characteristics and the problems on hand. Reviewing and analyzing the roles and mechanisms that PDS accelerates the amalgamation of theory and practice in education, the thesis is to providesome references and inspirations in the reform of "Teacher's Development School"- anew attempt in amalgamation of theory and practice in education.
