Some primary and middle schools of 20 certain provinces and cities in China have been carrying on the teaching experiments by course standards of physical education and health since the autumn of 2001. In order to check the scientificity and feasibility of the new course standards, this subject adopts the methods of literature information and investigation, and does the research in the four aspects of course concepts, course goals, teaching evaluation and carry-on process which belong to course standards of physical education and health. And comparative analysis with the course standards of some countries in the world have been carried on. The results prove that the new course standards regard "healthiness first"as the guidelines and reflect the requirement of quality-oriented education, meet three-dimensional health course goals that view designed with health psychology and society, offer the wide creation space to teachers, and offer the basis in training and optimizing students'comprehensive sports quality. Results have been found that although our country course standards of physical education and health have integrated with the world already, some parts still need to be modified and supplied. The research of this subject will offer certain theory reference of "course standards"perfection.
