Comparative Study On The Applied Faculty Of China And Foreign Men's Basketball Guards' With Ball Combined Techniques

After last decade's development Chinese men's basketball has made great progress and establishes its predominance in Asia, where only South Korea is capable to show its ability of competition sometimes. But from another point of view regarding of our performance in two games (Olympic Games and the World's Championship) that symbolize the most competitive matches in the world, Chinese team's results cannot be satisfying. Putting aside factors such as the policy and the system, we have to accept the opinion that our basketball players have no ability to bear the comparison with the international powers' players in the aspect of personal technical ability, for instance, the guards' deficiency in combined technical application for offence while dribbling. In basketball's matches however, the technical application is no other than to be combined, but not singly. The author watched all the semifinals and finals of CBA in these years as well as the international important matches in which the Chinese Men's Basketball Team fought hand to hand with the international powers in last several years, in addition of collecting some data. On the whole, there is a great gap between the guards and their international counterparts when the techniques of pass, shoot and break as well as especially the combination of diverse techniques being accounted.In view of our actual status in international arena, that, on one hand to identify and hold the mainstream of international basketball sport's development, on the other hand to find the solutions for the main problems currently existing in technical and tactical aspects of China's basketball sport, are significant to make improvement and to make promotion in our country's basketball sport. This text reviews the matches of 2004 Olympic Games, then enumerates and analyses the factors that influence the combined offensive technique of the guards while dribbling, with the comparison of Chinese guards and their international counterparts, interrelated suggestions and countermeasures will be raised, besides, the technical application of the forward and center could also be used. The intention and significance of this project is to offer some theoretical foundation to Chinese technical and tactical trainings in the future.
