School psychological education is a kind of education through which the educator make use of the knowledge in psychology, education, sociology and so on to help students achieve academic success and expand their personal, social, and career development, in order to promote students' psychological health and psychological quality. School psychological education has developed during the past two decades in China and much successful experience have been accumulated, but there are still some problems existing. The United States is one of countries that first uses the pattern of school psychological services to assist students with academic, personal, social, and career development , in which school psychological service system has being perfected through almost a century development. This thesis studies the development process and present situation of school psychological service system in USA, and learn some reasonable ideals and methods from the system in order to bring forward some good suggestions in view of existing situation and shortcomings of our school psychological education. This thesis can be divided into three parts.Part 1 interprets some questions related to the subject. Firstly, author analyses the rationality of the phrase "psychological education" and explains the phrase "school psychological service system in America". Secondly, author expounds the reasons of choose this subject from two aspects, one is status of the students' psychological quality and school psychological education currently in our country, the other is perfect pattern about to promote students' psychological health in America school. In the last, summary of research status of the subject by other domestic scholars, and the advantages and disadvantages of their papers, and the meanings of this paper are illustrated.Part 2 expounds the development and status in quo of school psychological service system in USA. School counseling service and school psychological service make up of the system, and the relationship of two is so close that the members and organizations of them merged into an organic whole. From this reason, this part, logically, can be divided into three sections. The section one and section two analyze separately the development and present status of school counseling service and school psychologicalservice. The section three explains the structure of member and organization as a whole of the system.Part 3 sums up the features of the school psychological service system in America and discusses the revelation to China.
