China is under construction of its harmonious society, rural area is always regarded as the keystone and the most difficult chapter in this symphony. Moreover, the compulsory education of rural area is interpreted as the keystone and the most difficult part in elementary education. Furthermore, girl students' education is taken as the kernel and a hard nut in rural area. Well educated girls not only benefit themselves and their families but also have significance to the improvement of the State and development the society. It is well known that every girl will grow up to be a mother;her education will greatly influence her professional development, her future family and the future society as well.In view of this situation, two questionnaires are designed to conduct a survey in eight provinces of Midwest of China. One is designed for Girls and Girl Students, the other is for Fanners and Paterfamilias. The former questionnaire contains two parts. Part one is basic information of the girl students, such as number of brothers and sisters, boarding or not, the distance form home to school, enjoying school life or not, idea job in future. Part two contains her parents' information, and her suggestion to the compulsory education, especially for girl students. The later questionnaire mainly includes information of paterfamilias, like gender, age, education background, family members, family income and expenses, the number of working labors and schooling kids/drop-outs (causes), attitudes to gender difference in education, women's status at home and in society, comments and suggestions to the compulsory education. When the research is carried on, close observation and face to face interviews have been made.Basing on the literature review and the experimental data, this research sums up the problems in current compulsory education of girl students. First of all, low enrollment rate of the girl student is the most serious problem, followed by big proportion of drop-outs. Moreover, there is a gradual decrease in the amount in higher grades for girl students. Lastly, there exist great differences between urban area and rural area. Systematic analysis made by this survey also demonstrates that social reason, family reason and school reason may lead to the problems. Suggested solutions have been proposed to the governments, paterfamilias and schools to further develop Chinese compulsory education in rural area.
