The art education of compulsory education phase is an important part ofbasic education, can provide the education value which other disciplines can not provide,which has an irreplaceable role. Art curriculum standards of the full-time compulsoryeducation has made the following confirmation for the value of art education ofnine-year compulsory education stage: the art education can edify students’ sentiment,improve the aesthetic ability, to guide students to participate in the cultural inheritanceand communication,of developing the students’ awareness and image thinking ability, toform students’ consciousness of innovation spirit and technology,to promote thestudent’s personality formation and all-round development.The basic goal of education is to improve the national quality, our country is anagricultural country,with a large of rural population, the implementation of the qualityeducation of rural compulsory education of fine arts to play an irreplaceablerole.Concern for rural basic education is that of rural students humanistic care, the lessthan popularity of rural art education, the week link of art education is not fundamentalchanged;only the overall quality of rural education to be improved which can ensureoverall rise of our national. In recent years the value of the national status and artseducation in quality education is to be knew by more and more. To develop the arteducation become the inevitable trend of social development, and also is the need oftimes development.Sichuan province is located in the western region, its economy is relativelybackward, and has a certain gap compared with developed eastern region.In recent years,the art education is also developing, but most of the results from the city schools, the arteducation of rural areas is still in blank phase, especially the compulsory educationstage.Da zhou located in the east of Sichuan basin,which is a rural population in themajority of areas,with many migrant workers. According to the statistics in20120f Da zhou city education bureau:94junior high schools,244nine-years schools, with253300junior high school students and its teaching staff is16437;1710primaryschools, with498500students and its faculty members are24483.In the nine-yearscompulsory education stage, the stay-at home children had kept a high proportion.Inrecent years, the countryside student dropout rate is higher, especially in the juniormiddle school stage.The dropout rate is as high as10%above in some villages and towndistricts of Da zhou, which is almost three years lower than the national average.A largeparts of the rural schools haven’t really implement the art class, some schools even haveno teachers,teaching materials,homeworks, and inspection.In smaller schools, studentshave no chance to received formal art education. School leaders seeming stress thequality education, but they are just in the pursuit of graduation rates.The thought andphenomenon is still widespread with attaching more on the score results and lack ofattention to aesthetic education.This kind of art education has already can’t adapt to thenew curriculum reform goal request, and also don’t adapt to the socialist marketeconomy and the cultivation of multidirectional type of high-quality talent needs.Taking the art compulsory education implementation present situation of Da zhoucity as the research object, and take a series of investigation in the jurisdiction of Dazhou city,including32teaches and many students of24middle and primary schools inDa xian, Da Zhuxian,Qu xian,Kai jiang, and Xuan han.It real reflects the art compulsoryeducation implementation of Da zhou city, thus find the problems which hinder itsdevelopment, and puts forward the corresponding measures, which can providereference for the effective Implementation of compulsory education in rural areas ofSichuan Province Art Education.Paper is divided into five parts: the first part is introduction, mainly points out thatthe putting forward problems, the research goal and significance, the researchmethod,survey object and content, etc. The second part is the present situationinvestigation and analysis of compulsory art education in Da zhou city.Mainly detailedexplain the class rate arts lessons, teaching equipment configuration situation, teacherssituation, teaching content, teaching material’s use and school-based curriculumdevelopment.The third part is the difficult position which is based on the presentsituation investigation and analysis of the Da zhou city’s compulsory art education.Thefourth part is the countermeasures to develop Da zhou city rural compulsory arteducation.The fifth part is the conclusion,summary of the study. It needs hard work tochange the present situation of art compulsory education in rural areas of Sichuan province, and it needs the cooperation and support of government and various sectors ofthe community, and it needs every art education worker make efforts step by step.
