The meta-therory of selective optimisation with compensation provides a general framework for understanding of development continuity and change across different periods of the life span. It can be viewed as the strategies of life management from the active theory, and can improve successful development.A study on the model of SOC of adolescence will enrich the theoretical contens of Development Psychology and the results of this study will help to direct adolescence how to manage their life and reach successful development. So it is of great theoretical and practical significance.On the bases of the ananlysis of the model of SOC, relevant concepts of SOC, the methods of study, and their current situation at home and abroad, this research revised the questionnaire of SOC, and made a tentative study on the dimensionality of SOC, the characteristic of adolescence's SOC, and analysed the relationship among SOC , life satisfaction, positive affect, negative affect, social support, and the concept of control. The main conclusions are as follows:1. There are four dimensions of SOC Questionaire, including elective selection, based-loss selection, optimisation, and compensation. This research verified that the scale had good level of reliability and validity.2. there are no siganificance difference between male and female, SOC increases lining as aging.3. Regression analysis results indicate that SOC have stronger prediction function in life satisfaction, pisitive affect, and negative affect.4. Social support and the concept of control have stronger prediction function in SOC.5. Social support mediates the relationship among SOC and life satisfaction, and positive/negative affect.
