Since the 1980s, there was a reverses on school choice in the USA: from restriction to encouragement. The essence of the reverse was that it achieved aims by the competitive mechanism of market, through which to move the educational funds effectively and to impel teachers work hard. It is thought that the policy of school choice can improve the efficiency and quality of education. In actually, it spurs the reform of public schools and brings about profound and extensive influence to the system of public schools. The public and researchers pass different judgments on school choice, and there are two attitudes opposite to each other towards school choice. At present, the action of school choice is more and more popular in China, the echo of the society is also becoming more and more larger. The government has step measures to forbid the action of school choice in elementary education, but more and more students select school. The basic purpose of the research is to explore experience from America's school choice, and brings forth some suggestion.This dissertation mainly consists of six parts. Part one is the perfect of this paper. The author raises the meaning of the paper and makes definition, as well as advances the train and methods of this research. Part two is the first part of the research. It covers the history of America's school choice. Part three introduces and analyzes the present situation of America's school choice and explores the relationship among government and schools and parents. Part four explains the factors concerning the development of America's school choice. Part five evaluates America's school choice. The author sums up the influence of the America's school choice and gets evaluations. Part six attempts to put forward some experience from the America's school choice, and presents some suggestion for references.
