Study On School Cultural Environment For Science Education

On how to improve the current situation of Science education, the author proposes that "School cultural environment for science education" is an important factor that can't be ignored. This paper is just a research of it.In the first part of this paper, the author mainly defines four concepts-----"Culture", "Cultural environment", "Cultural environment for science education" and "School cultural environment for science education". In the second part, on the basis of the data collected from some of the middle schools in Shanghai, the author discusses the constituent elements and characteristics of "School cultural environment for science education". Then, in the third part, on the basis of Questionnaire results, the author shows and reveals the problems existing in the current cultural environment for science education in some schools. Finally, in the forth and fifth parts, the author proposes her views on "what the school principals and the science teachers should do" in the construction of the school cultural environment for science education.
