The surface tension is a very special problem in physics, involving chemistry and medical science, and the current research concerning surface tension is various. The fields of the surface tension research involve the problems of frontier physics as well as the daily life experience. The measurement of the liquid surface tension is determined to the liquid surface tension coefficient. Therefore it is necessary to do some theoretical and experimental research on liquid surface tension coefficient. In the theory of the liquid surface tension coefficient, this paper analyses the liquid surface tension coefficient through the equations of thermodynamic functions, getting varied definitions of surface tension coefficients, namely: We deduce the surface tension coefficients which are related to the physical functions of thermodynamics. Because of the existence of the surface tension coefficient, the phenomenon of liquid surface is different from that of solid and the gas. We can deduce the Laplace formula from the balance of force and energy conversion. According to Laplace equation, we can derive a pressure difference between inside and outside of liquid surface, and the height of the liquid rises or declines in the capillary tube. The relationship between liquid surface...
