Prosocial behaviors are a series of sociality behaviors which accord with social expectation, include sharing, cooperation, altruism, humility, assistance etc. As far as human being is concerned, prosocial behaviors are generally social phenomena, they have very positive function to the progress, adaptation and survival of human. As far as individual is concerned, prosocial behaviors are widely social behaviors and important index during individual socialization course.Self-concept is individual to self cognition. Some scholars think that a person has active self-concept, he would have favorable behaviors. For example, if a person believes he likes to assist others, he may assist others more in real-life. It is obvious that between prosocial behaviors and self-concept exists a certain relation.Based on previous studies about prosocial behaviors, the research adopts interview and opening questionnaire to make the Scale of Middle School Students' Prosocial Behaviors. Then we manage it and edited the Self-description Questionnaire of Middle School to survey the students who are in the twentieth-second middle school and Lanlian third middle school. The results of research show:The first, Prosocial behaviors of middle school students are constituted of 7 dimensions. They are respectively: restraining, assistance, sharing, sodality, cooperation, accommodation and social morality. The confirmatory factor analysis indicates that the 7-factor model is more reasonable than 8-factor model. And based on the 7-factor model, the Scale of Middle School Students' Prosocial behaviors have good reliability and validity.The second, from the research of the middle school students' prosocial behaviors, we have found: On the gender factor, there is no difference; on the single-child or non-single-child factor, there is also no difference. On the developmental trend research of the grade factor, there is significant difference. We have investigated educational level of parents, and have found that the higher educational level of mother would be significant effect on prosocial behaviors of middle school students. But the educational level of father have no the significant effect on the middle school students' prosocial behaviors.The third, the correlation analysis of prosocial behaviors with self-concept of middle school students have found: there is significant correlation relationship between them. Especially, there is significant correlation between prosocial behaviors and intercourse self-concept, learning ability self-concept and ideality self-concept; but there isn't significant correlation between prosocial behaviors and appearance self-concept.The fourth, the results of interview further make up explanation the conclusion of research. But the results of interview put forward some new questions that we should think over.In a word, prosocial behaviors as a concerned question of positive psychology, it should be more strengthening study from its depth degree and extent degree.
