The modern society is a study society. The illiterate person in the future is not the one who doesn't know the characters but the one who doesn't know how to study. The education begins with a view to teaching the students to learn to study in middle school, but the key from learning to being able to study lies in students' Metacognition. J·H·Flavell - an American psychology brought forward Metacognition in 1976,he referred that It means the recognition of recognition. It was later that we began to do research about the Metacognition in our country, recently the study of Metacognition started to combine with subjects teaching and to pay attention to cultivating the students' through solving the subjects problems, but there is a little study in combining the history with it. This passage brought forward a thought of teaching which pursues high efficiency and is good for the lifelong development of the students through combination of high school history subject teaching and Metacognition ability training.It discusses theoretically and practically how to cultivate the ability of students' Metacognition in high school history teaching and states its necessity and significance according to the result of investigating and the ability of high school students' Metacognition It also mentioned premise of practice, which is to exchange between teaching idea and learning idea. We should cultivate and improve the ability of students' Metacognition by accumulating their Metacognition knowledge, enriching their Metacognition experience of the students' study and leading to monitor and control their Metacognition in the studying And it concluded some practicable and efficient methods: Both the teachers and studentsdemonstrate in class; Consolidating goal consciousness of students; Encouraging the students to ask questions in time; Paying more attention to the process of thinking; Cultivating the students' habit of turning over to think; Using the computer to help teach,etc,...
