The education quality is considered as the emphasis on school work all along. So the students' marks become the key point that affects the school teaching quality. In this paper we analyze the marks of the 2003 grade students and give some explanations to the results. Three parts are included as follows:(1) In the first chapter we study the 2003 grade students' math term marks and their cet-4 marks according to their entrance marks by using the clustering analysis of ordered sample. From the results we find some factors that affect the students' marks. And we also prepare for the analysis of variance that include quantitative variable.(2) In the second chapter we study whether factors such as entrance foundation, native place ,teacher, college and the students' sex have an influence on math grades and English grades of undergraduate by applying the method of variance analysis. Because the entrance foundation is quantitative variable, we transform such factor to qualitative variable by clustering analysis of ordered sample. Then we use analysis of variance model to find the remarkable factors. Furthermore we analyze the remarkable factors according to the liner regression theories and residual analysis theories. Also we study some abnormal values and find some new questions in our work.(3) In the third chapter we give some rational suggestions for the practical work based on the former results.
