With the development of economic globalization,urban competitiveness has gradually become the focus of all countries in the world.Strong urban competitiveness means strong national competitiveness.Therefore,the study of urban competitiveness is imminentIn the first part of this paper,Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Harbin,Tianjin,Suzhou,Wuhan,Chongqing,and Xi'an are selected as the research objects.According to the scientific principle,representativeness principle,comparability principle,practicability principle and hierarchical principle,17 indicators of four categories,namely economic competitiveness,open communication competitiveness,scientific and technological competitiveness,and social and environmental competitiveness,have been selected to build the index system of urban competitiveness researchIn the second part,the entropy weight method is used to analyze ten cities from the aspects of economic competitiveness,communication and opening competitiveness,technological competitiveness,and social environmental competitiveness.The scores of four cities are obtained and ranked,and reasonable suggestions are given.Then entropy weight method and principal component analysis are used to analyze the comprehensive competitiveness of ten cities.The results are compared and suggestions are givenThe third part uses cluster analysis and discriminant analysis to classify cities and back judge cities.By cluster analysis,cities are divided into four categories:first,Shenzhen and Suzhou;second,Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou;third,Chongqing;fourth,Tianjin,Wuhan,Harbin and Xi'an.The result of cluster analysis is back judged by discriminant analysis,and the result is completely consistent,which shows that the result of cluster analysis is accurateIn the fourth part,taking the total amount of post and telecommunications business as an example,the residual autoregressive model is established to predict the total amount of post and telecommunications business in each city.This paper expounds the modeling process of Beijing in detail,obtains the forecast value of the total amount of post and telecommunications business in Beijing after five years,and obtains the forecast value of other cities according to the same method.Comparing with the ranking of urban communication and opening competitiveness,it is concluded that the stronger the urban communication and opening competitiveness is,the more the total amount of post and telecommunications business will be in the future,so it is of great significance to study the competitiveness.
