Modern education concept focus on the development of students' overall quality, that is, on helping the students to learn the ability to acquire knowledge, to be creative, and to put what they have learned to practice. This essay is based on classroom teaching method, instructed by modern theories of education course and goals, Curriculum Program of High School Physics Course, as well as the requirement of National Matriculation Test. Having done some investigations, practice and analyses, I am doing research on inquiry teaching process in classroom teaching of physics, and I think I have achieved a lot.Inquiry teaching is a process with the idea of encouraging the students to identify problems and try to find the solutions. To inquire is the desire driven by curiosity to give explanations and descriptions of what is unknown. Thus, the center of the inquiry teaching process lies in "problem finding". The purpose is to stimulate the students to get curious or interested, to think for themselves, to find problems and to solve the problems. During the course of all these procedures, we should offer an easy and democratic atmosphere, and we should always encourage interaction and cooperation. From this, the students will surely experience the pleasure and sense of achievement. They will surely have a better understanding and knowledge of the nature of science. In this sense, the process of this inquiry teaching is even more important than the result. Transformed from stress on knowledge passing on and accumulation to knowledge acquirement through inquiry and research, this teaching process aims at developing the students' research ability, their matter-of-fact attitude towards science, their interest and courage to question and inquire, and their creativity. This is just our goal of education. This is no doubt essential for quality improvement.
