Studies On Juvenile Delinquency In China

Nowadays juvenile delinquency is becoming more and more serious.It not only threats the political situation of stability and unity,but disrupts public order and interferes with the progress of reform and development.From a long-term point view,it will have a great impact on national quality.The problem of juvenile delinquency will be analyzed in this paper from the following aspects:First,from the aspects of juvenile's role in society and the contradiction grow mature out of childish ignorance ,they are in a critical period during which they easily grow in depth because they are inferior in self-control psychologically to adults.Secondly,this paper analysed the main causes and characteristics of juvenile delinquency.They are developing psychologically and physiologically and their outlook on life and world is developing too.They are incapable of distinguishing good from bad.Therefore,they can not successfully get out of trouble which is caused by contradictions during the transforming period of the society and then commit crimes.Thirdly,the social effects of juvenile delinquency is explored.According to official statistics,the nate of juvenile delinquency in crime has gone from 20% in the 1950s up to 70% in the 1980s.The problem of juvenile delinquency is still very serious in the 1990s although some effective measures have been made to assure public security.The last factor to be studied is the present situation of our country.China is on the primacy stage of transformation to market economy,and we focus on economic development.During this stage we must take some preventive measures to teenagers'commiting crime and improve the socialist legal system.Only if the society is civilized can teenagers grow up healthy and sound.Consequently to study juvenile delinquency is of great importance and it can make us prevent and reduce the nate of juvenile delinquency effectively.
