To make substantive changes in students' learning is the important and specific aim in a new round of a major reform of the basic education curriculum. It promotes the learning methods of independence, cooperation and exploration, and makes scientific inquiry as a breakthrough in the curriculum reform. The idea of the basic curriculum initiated by "Ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standards (Experimental)" also makes it clear that "A variety of chemical laboratory-based research activities enable students to experience the process of research, stimulate interest in the study of chemical, strengthen the sense of scientific inquiry, promote the changes of learning methods, and cultivate their enterprising spirit and practical ability." Therefore, in the new curriculum reform we should vigorously promote inquiry teaching methods, unceasingly strengthen the applying and researching of the teaching strategies of inquiry study, effectively promote changes of students' learning ways of chemistry, practically improve the students' scientific accomplishment of chemistry and the teaching quality. There are four teaching strategies of inquiry learning. They are choosing the inquiry contents reasonable, designing the exploration activities scientifically, providing the guidance to students timely and necessarily, and teachers should be involved in the exploration activities. Little research in a practical perspective has been studied on the teaching strategies of inquiry learning. So this essay is based on the above four strategies to carry out applied research.
