One of the most important goals of education is to not only let the students maintain knowledge long, but also can use what they learnt in a new situation and can solve the problem they didn't study before, therefore, transfer is one eternal subject of educational psychology. As we know, the study is a continual process, the study of new concept is always based on the original one, so transfer is a general characteristic of the people's cognition and it often occurs where there is learning activities. Transfer can adapt the individual to a new environment and let him have the ability to solve new problem. It is impossible for the school to teach the students all knowledge and skill, but it has to enable the students to acquire the ability of transfer. Only in this way can they use what they learnt to solve problem quickly. The research into transfer is helpful to understand the essence and rule of man's study thoroughly, as well as enrich the theory of study and instruct educators and learners to improve teaching and learning, accelerate the effective utilization of knowledge.The thesis consists of four parts. Firstly, based on the analysis of transfer theory and biological teaching, it improves the necessity of the concept teaching under the instruction of transfer theory. Secondly, it analyzes the development of transfer theory and the documents related. Combined with the practice of the concept teaching in middle school, in the third part, the thesis explores the problem existing in concept teaching an introduces relevant strategy of "teaching" and "learning". In the fourth part,it describes the experimental research of the usefulness of biological concept teaching under the instruction of the theory.The article is mainly about the application of transfer theory to guide the biological concept teaching.By using case study, visiting the experienced teacher and studying different level students' reflection to the concept teaching, the questions which exist in the present biological concept study are discovered and analysed. It seeks the method and the mentality which the predecessor inquire into the rule of transfer, probes into the teaching method that will optimize the teaching of biology in order to help the students to construct an integrated knowledge system and ability structure, and to enhance the quality and effect of teaching. Fully considere the condition which can promote study transfer, generalize the development of transfer theories and apply it to the instruction of the concrete concept teaching. Adopting the method of empirical research , combined with the teaching practice of biological concept, through the approach of scholastic achievement examination and investigative questionnaire, a qualitative and quantitative research on teaching practice is carried out in this study.
