English reading is becoming more and more important nowadays. The New Curriculum Standard demands the teachers create all kinds of opportunities for students to cooperate with others, learn and help with one another so as to develop interpersonal techniques. Under the traditional way of teaching reading, the students are not active in their reading activities. Their reading achievement score is unsatisfying. And little attention is paid to the Vocational High School Students in China.In view of this, the author carries out this research. This paper reviews the current literatures on teaching reading comprehension and discusses the reciprocal questioning strategy for teaching reading to EFL students in China. The research intends to answer the following two questions.1. After the students in the experimental group received the reciprocal questioning strategy, are their scores of the posttest on reading comprehension better than the scores of the students in the control group?2. After the students practiced the reciprocal questioning strategy, did they develop stronger interest in English reading?...
