Medical speciality became pop quickly these years, so medical adult higher education developed quickly too, but we discover some shortages on its traditional instructional model. Because medical adult students often have serious conflict between work, home and study, medical adult higher education often has a lower rate of face-to-face teaching attendance. And because the students lack adequate consciousness, effective supervision, instruction and sustentation from teaching resources, they have lower efficiency of self-study too. For such reasons it finally result in lower teaching and educational quality. With the maturity of network informational technology and the acceleration of the medical education internationalization process, the theory and practice research production on the medical network education became more abundant. Modern education technology impelled the transformation of medical educational conception, means, method, content, model, size and so on. It offered medical adult higher education a direction and base on its teaching reformation and innovational development in informationaliztion era too.This article aims: 1) to improve the teaching effect and education quality of medical adult higher education by constructing the new network-aided instructional model; 2) to realize the transformation from the educational background compensative education which centered around knowledge and technology to comprehensive capacity education which centered around "four learn: learn to cognize, learn to do, learn to survive and learn to live together"; 3) to make full use of digital and informational technology such as computer network technology and multimedia technology to innovate the traditional instructional model which including face to face instruction and self-study in medical adult higher education ; 4) to combine traditional and network-aided instructional model, syncretize traditional and digital network-aided study to supplement each other; 5) to construct a new network-aided instructional model which can exert teachers' dominant action as well as students go-aheadism and creativity, to eliminate or reduce the shortage of traditional instructional model; 6) to improve the teaching efficiency of face to face instruction and the effect of self-study through the construction of the new network-aided instructional model which including the multimedia face to face instruction and three-dimensional teaching environment aided network instruction. Through network instruction and the joint program with medical school or other medical institution we can breach the spatio-temporal limit of the traditional instructional model. Excellent instruction from teachers who come from the headquarters campus will be available to the students study in the local teaching bases by using network-aided instructional model.The history of the adult higher education of Xinxiang Medical University is not long, but it developed quickly, the students' enrollment expands a lot and now the population has exceeded 10,000. This article takes the example of adult higher education of Xinxiang Medical University, sets up new modern educational and teaching conception, according to the particularity of medical education and adult higher education, gives prominence to the feature of "medical, adult, in active service", relies on the excellent research atmosphere and practical bases of Xinxiang Medical University, to construct network-aided instructional model of medical adult higher education by theory and practice action research.This article mainly states as follows: the research background and theory basis, the comparison of traditional instructional model and network-aided instructional model, the necessity and feasibility, the general assumption and specific description, the hardware and software supports, the specific blue print of the construction of the new instructional model. The innovation of this article is to improve the teaching effect and education quality of medical adult higher education by utilizing completely the advantages of the network-aided teaching. The creative research productions include theoretical and practical productions, such as the written and published of some research papers, multimedia network-based teaching and management platform, the network-aided teaching resources, the virtual reality experiment and so on.
