Network-based language learning (NBLL), as an extension of CALL, is more resourceful and interactive which begins to spread at tertiary level of education in China. Both in and after class, besides various learning materials on bookshelf, college students can go on with their learning at self-access centers with language learning software and internet.NBLL makes the students exposed to large amount of information input. On the one hand, the diverse and limitless information can attract the students and make their study easier. On the other hand, without the guidance and help of the teacher, the students may lost themselves and don't sure about what to learn and how to learn while they learn foreign language using the network. So in NBLL environment, how should we bring it into full play? How should we complete the combination between the language learning what roles should the teachers and learners play to improve the effect of NBLL ?As mediators, teachers are supposed to help learners to react properly to meaningful language input, facilitate them in grasping learning strategies and controlling their own. This article discuss how teachers beliefs the effect of learning .moreover, some conducive suggestions are put forward as to teachers should realize their role of mediators and how students can be helped to improve their learning effect. After two and a half month'experiments and observation in regular class, I think it necessary to establish a new model of language learning in classroom teaching, that is, the students learning English using the network with the mediation of the teacher .
