The new curriculum requires that Middle School English Teaching should embody humanized and student-centered educational concept which sets the students' development as the root and gives prominence to the practical quality of language in order to achieve the purpose of developing the students' knowledge, skills, thoughts, emotions, intelligence, personality and learning strategies. Through learning, the students should learn to make use of English comprehensively and make more progress and development in every aspect comprehensively, proportionally and harmoniously.The fact that the problem of "taking much time and yielding low effects" still exists in the present teaching practice shows that we have not made effective improvement in our English teaching and that we have not find an efficient way to activate students. Therefore, slow development in the students results. The reason is that the teaching concept and strategies employed are out of date. Therefore, the principal project for solving these problems is that teachers should have knowledge of both the theories and the practical strategies of effective teaching.The aim of middle school teaching, the learning characters of the students and the standards of English courses serve as good opportunities for the theories of effective English teaching to be applied in the in-class teaching practice. Research on Effective English Teaching in Junior Middle Schools summarized the three-year teaching practice in applying the new teaching materials in Dandong city and got deeper cognition and better understanding of the new educational teaching ideology and the fundamental basis of the new courses. Combining different researches and explorations abroad on Effective English Teaching Theory, Research on Effective English Teaching in Junior Middle Schools (REETJMS) made profound and detailed research on how to use macroscopical teaching concept to guide the concrete teaching of a singular English course in middle schools. After discussions of strategies on cooperative learning, dialogue-teaching, conditional teaching and task-teaching, REETJMS made a revolutionary conclusion that can transform the existing old English teaching ideology---teachers must set and make use of effective teaching ideology to and in their teaching practice in order to really achieve the purpose of quality education and the teaching aims raised in the standards of the new courses and thus effectively promote students' development, namely, through learning, we achieved the purpose of promoting the students' development of knowledge, skills, thinking, thoughts, emotions, intelligence, qualities and strategies---and this conclusion will help to lay solid foundation in students' life-learning process.The meaning of Middle School Effective English Teaching is that after a period of teaching, the teachers are able to guide the students to finish the teaching tasks and the students can acquire the expected and target progress and development. Combined with the teaching practice and experience and the teaching design, the exploration of the implementation of Middle School Effective English Teaching has been carried out. Putting forward the strategies in Middle School Effective English teaching and pointing out the conditions under which we carry out Middle School Effective English Teaching are all for offering effective guidelines to Middle School Effective English Teaching of the new courses.
