The teaching principle of High School teachers of Mathematics refers to the teachers' knowledge about conception of maths educating, mathematics, andconception of maths learning. These teachers stand at the frontier of maths teaching and practice methodology. Their teaching principles have a direct impact on the quality of High School maths teaching, the developments of students, and even the growth of society. Therefore, the understanding of teaching principle is necessary not only to the teacher's growth, but also to the knowledge of current state as well. It is for these reasons that this study focuses on High School teachers' teaching principles.The method used in this study includes designing, distributing, collecting, and analyzing questionnaire. It also compares the teaching principle of teachers in Junior High and Senior High Schools, and of the teachers in China, America and Japan.This study shows that the mathematical teaching principle fits Chinese maths teaching on the whole. More and more teachers are paying attention to the problem of application, not only scores. But there are still who pursue only exams and results. The study also finds out that there are certain differences in teaching principle between Junior and Senior High School teachers. As for the teaching principle of Chinese, American and Japanese teachers, there are big differences due to social and cultural factors.
