Probe On Personality Education For College Students

The problem of personality education has been a common concern of the global education. Faced with the marketing economy, the Net times and the increasingly-pluralized society, the college students' personality conditions have taken on various crises and deficiencies. Therefore, the college students' personality education has been necessary to develop the quality education in modern society and to foster qualified talents, and it has already become one of the important and urgent tasks in national college education of China.According to the objective law of the college student's physical and mental development, this essay has explained the personality characteristics of the contemporary college students, analyzed the personality limitation and its concerned causes, and put forward establishing the correct ideas of education on the college students' personality. First of all, we should confirm the educational goal on the college students', personality: to pursue the unification of their realistic, and ideal personality, to make the unification of their physical and mental health, and to promote the unification of their improvement of personal quality and development of all-round competence. Secondly, we should follow the basic principles of education on personality of the college students: to put people first and at the center of everything, to respect people and encourage their initiative and independence; to care people and arouse-their enthusiasm; to develop people and excite their creativities. Moreover, we should define the basic content of education on the college students' personality: education on ideals and faith, on social responsibilities, on self-consciousness, on learning abilities, on living attitudes, on community skills and on mental health. Finally, the paper deals with the effective methods on sound personality education of the college students: sticking to the institutional norm as the guarantee, making self-development as the focal point, regarding the campus cultural construction as the carrier, taking the education on mental health as the main means, regarding high-quality ideological and political work team as the prerequisite, regarding social practical activity as the head way, to construct sound personality of the college students and promote the all-round development of college students.
