Interaction Design Research Of Web-based Virtual Experiment

The experiment is an essential important part of the teaching activity. Accompany with development of network technology, it is necessity to carrying out experiment teaching based on web, the virtual experiment is a studying experiment system based on web. The space-time apart in distance education makes the achievement of the student depending on the interactivity of the network teaching system on very big degree. Investigation is indicated: at the present time, people haven't cognizance of the important of the interaction between teachings and studying, it is lacking of suitably interaction design on network teaching system. Since the nature of strong participable and operability in experiment, the virtual experiment needs higher interactivity. To reach to the teaching target expected, the virtual experiment based web only been fine design on interaction, it can support a learner to accomplish from operation interaction and information interaction to conceptual interaction, constructed form the new knowledge structure.This paper embarks from the student angle, takes The Hierarchical Model for student and teacher interaction in distance learning, combined the architectural theory and the design of instruction, and researches the interaction for student and teacher in the virtual experiment based-on web deeply. In view of the interactive demand of the virtual experimental, proposed the interactive function model of the virtual experiment, has designed the operation interaction principle, the information interaction ways in order to promote the student's concept interaction and the feedback mechanism how to obtain the result of the student concept interaction, it will be used to instruct in the entire process of design and develop the virtual experiment.This paper is composed of seven parts:Part I introduced the research background, the research present situation and the research direction of the paper. As an experiment teaching system, the virtual experiment based-on web should have the good interactivity to guarantee the student study quality, but at present many questions existed all directly or indirectly reflected interaction designs insufficiency. The literature study and the practice research indicated: current the interaction research and the interaction design are all absent, we should pay attention to the problem of the interaction design to the virtual experiment. This research devoted to making up the question which the interaction design to the virtual experiment is insufficient, carried on the interaction design to the virtual experiment base-on web roundly and systemically Part II elaborated the virtual experiment based-on web and the foundation theories to design the interaction of the virtual experiment to base-on web. At first discussed the virtual experiment base-on web, defined the concept of the virtual experiment base-on web, expounded the implement pattern the function characteristic of the virtual experiment base-on web and; Then carried on the analysis to interaction and the teaching interaction, defined the concept of, cited the different scholars classification to the student and teacher interaction in distance learning, elaborated the function of the student and teacher interaction in distance learning; Finally thoroughly elaborated the foundation theory of interaction design, this research mainly take the Hierarchical Model for student and teacher interaction in distance learning and the architectural theory and the design of instruction as a foundation, through to introduction each kind of theory and analysis expounded its instruction interaction designs reason..Part III proposed the interaction designs model of virtual experiment based-on web.. First consulting the true experiment carried out the interactive need analysis on virtual experiment from the learner angle , reach three kinds interaction types, respectively the interaction between student and the experiment equipment , the interaction between student and teacher as well as the interaction between student and student, and further analyzed the interactive characteristic of the virtual experimental system should have; Then take the Hierarchical Model for student and teacher interaction in distance learning as the foundation, in view of the virtual experiment interactive demand, proposed the interactive function model of the virtual experiment, the model mainly carries on the interaction design from three levels, respectively the operation interaction design on virtual experiment, the information interaction design on virtual experiment and concept interaction feeds back the mechanism design on virtual experiment.Part IV carries out concrete operation interaction design on virtual experiment based-on web. First, analyzed the concrete content of operation design, mainly includes the interface design and the interaction method; And then brought forward five principles on operation design, respectively the taking learner as centre principle, the studying target guiding principle, the uniform principle, the usability principle and the succinct artistic principle, Finally carried on through the concrete application to the principle of design further explained.Part V carries out concrete information interaction design on virtual experiment based-on web. There are two kind of information interactions in virtual experiment, one is the information interaction between student and the other is the information interaction between student with virtual experiment assisted system; on the virtual experiment software design , brought forward the flow of designing and developing virtual experiment software and the tactics to improve information interaction, virtual experiment assisted system include two parts, Instructed information system and interpersonal interaction. In Instructed information system designed on, expound the design content and proposed the design method, in interpersonal alternately designed on, elaborated the interpersonal interactive content, the interpersonal interactive function and the interpersonal interactive way, proposed the interactive tool application strategy.Part VI carries out concrete concept interaction feedback mechanism design on virtual experiment. Brought forward two kind of mechanisms, the experiment tracking record system and the experiment test system, the experiment tracking record system has mainly designed two ways, the participation behavior record and the operation behavior records, described the concrete content and the record function each way. The experiment test system has proposed the principle of design, and carried on the concrete functional design and the test question design.Part VII summarized the paper research results; and prospected the interaction design of the virtual experiment based-on web.
