Honesty and Credit Values is an individual's internal criterion and subjective attitude towards honesty and credit which forms with his growing up. Ones can set his value object and choice value means according to his honesty and credit values. This honesty and credit values also contains a relatively steady trend of honesty and credit which can be used to answer his own or other's honesty and credit. The study on undergraduates' honesty and credit value not only can provide theoretical gist on the study of Chinese undergraduates' honesty and credit, but also have the practical significance for developing undergraduates' mental healthy.The purpose of the study was to explore the development characteristics of Honesty and Credit Values of Chinese undergraduates. Based on the previous research of home and abroad as well as the results of the open-ended questionnaire survey, the Honesty and Credit Values model applicable to Chinese college students was developed firstly. Through factor analysis of the data from three structured questionnaire surveys, the structure of the Honesty and Credit Values Inventory was constructed and the formal inventory was developed. After the examination of reliability and validity of the inventory, it was used as a measure to explore the developmental characteristics of Honesty and Credit Values in a Chinese sample of 1810 college students.The results indicated as following:1,Honesty and Credit Values, a structure including many components, could be divided into three dimension---trend of honesty and credit,object of honesty and credit, and means of honesty and credit. The dimension of trend of honesty and credit included three factors: desire of honesty and credit, choice of honesty and credit, estimate of honesty and credit. The dimension of object of honesty and credit included two factors: individual orientation and social orientation.The dimension of the means of honesty and credit included five factors: recognition of promise, no cheating,white lie, integrity and keeping word.2,The honesty and credit values inventory developed in the study which was aninstrument with good reliability and validity.3,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values among different grades, In general, scores of honesty and credit values has a decrease trend with grade increase. Honesty and credit which freshman expressed is the most positive, and which senior expressed is the most negative.4,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values between different genders. Female have the more positive honesty and credit values than male.5,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values between only child and those who are not. The only child has the more negative honesty and credit values than those who are not.6,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values between country students and town students. Country students have the more positive honesty and credit values than town students.7,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values among family honesty and credit education. The higher family honesty and credit education, the more positive honesty and credit values undergraduates expressed.8,There is significant difference of undergraduates' honesty and credit values among university honesty and credit education. The higher university honesty and credit education, the more positive honesty and credit values undergraduates expressed.
