There is always unsatisfaction in the Chinese traditional teaching process. For many years,"Deaf English"and"Exam English"are the problems that have puzzled us in English teaching of all kinds of schoo1s in China. So some of the students'1earning interest is reduced and they 1ack the goal awareness and independence,1et alone the autonomy in their studies. The concept of Changing the student's 1earning style and the teaching style"have been put into the outline of basic education reform. In the views of social constructivist and its related theories, knowledge is constructed by individuals rather than transmitted from one person to another. These theories a1so aim at so1ving the defects of the traditional systems of teaching theories, and putting forward a series of problem_so1ving methods.Language is the means by which people communicate with each other. English is a communicative tool and its teaching aim is to train the students'ability of using this language. The ability of using this implement is trained during its usage and whether you have grasped the capability is also checked during the period of its daily usage. The center problem on ELT is using English to communicate, and our English teachers should carefully consider this question. Considering the communicative rule in ELT, our English teachers are expected to connect our teaching materials to our daily intercourse. This thesis tries to commence from the theory of interaction principles and communicative approach as guide. When combining these theories with English teaching, the students' autonomous learning can be cultivated in the activities of English teaching. The purpose is to increase the students' goal awareness, arouse their interest in learning English,so as to foster their English 1eaming autonomy in schoo1. Thus, we English teachers have helped them set up the base of life-long study.
