鈽匴ith the improvement of English-teaching methods in China, the interactive teaching method is popular with more and more English teachers. To develop the students' communicative abilities is the key to interactive language teaching. In China, most English learners lack the natural environment of the language, so English learning is mainly set in classrooms, and classroom interaction is of vital importance. Therefore, every English teacher should pay more attention to how to promote interaction in the classroom, by motivating every student to involve in the classroom activities and helping them practice English in a real language environment, and how to teach English efficiently in the classroom. To promote interaction in classroom teaching, a teacher can increase the students' interest through designing questions. To promote interaction in classroom teaching, a teacher can also encourage students by giving them positive assessments for their performance in the class. In this essay, the author tries to explore a way to promote interaction in classroom teaching through designing lesson-tasks. According to the social constructivism and the interactive teaching theories , I try using the task teaching method in my classroom. I design tasks of listening , speaking, reading and writing , which the students are to complete in classroom. It enables the students to experience the language, practice the language and use the language. Before the exploration, I make a survey about the students' opinions on the teacher-centered teaching method and the results of the method by interviewing students, having a questionnaire and asking my colleague to observe my class and to record some important data. After the exploration, I make a survey about the students' opinion of the new teaching method and the teaching output , using the above methods. It shows that to design good lesson-tasks arouses the students' interest, makes the classroom atmosphere active, creates an authentic language surrounding, providing more opportunities for the students to practice English, and develops the students' abilities of using English.鈽匱his thesis consists of seven chapters: Chapter1 Introduction.
