With the development of study abroad educational programs in China, Indian international students have been an increasing student group in China, and their adaptation and study life here should be progressively monitored. This study adopts qualitative research methods based on interviews and observations conducted with four Indian international students of Suzhou University. Combining related intercultural theories as well as Chinese and Indian cultural backgrounds, data collection and data analysis were performed to describe the study and the life experiences of these Indian students in China, trying to explore in-depth their confusion, behavior, and the process of their adjustment. The findings from the study provide this evidence: Indian students perceive according to certain stereotypes in their daily life, study life, and social interactions in China. Language, interaction style, intercommunication channels, and individual diversity have an influence on Indian students' cross-cultural adaptation. Therefore, educational institutions must strengthen intercultural training, improve the management of foreign students, enhance language fluency, and increase opportunities of communication, which can help circumvent or reduce the culture shock and misunderstanding experienced by Indian students, advancing their cross-cultural adaptation.
