In order to train students to solve problems with IT and find effective methods fit for IT teaching in No. 2 middle school in Huhhot, the paper takes research in integrating Sketchpad teaching with analytic geometry.In order to find a better way to teach drawing animated trace in Sketchpad, the paper does some research on two teaching methods: normal method and cone-curve-function method. The hypothesis is that different teaching methods have remarkable effect both on studying of drawing animated trace and cone-curve-function method.After studying the theory on the information technology and the integrated course, the theory on instruction design and Ausubel's theory on teaching and learning, the author uses Dick& Carey's instruction design model to devise a plan for teaching drawing animator's trace. According to the unit's teaching aim, the author analyzes the studying object and the content of course, and work out the performance object and assessment metricare. Teaching strategy and formative exercises about knowledge in the chapter are designed too.According to the need of the experiment, the author makes the protest and posttest on cone-curve-function which can be use to examine studying effect. Besides, to fully understand the experiment affections, the author also designs special interview plans direct to students and teachers. It's convenient to do interview after the test.Single-factor and two levels equality-group experiment method is mainly used in the thesis. The author chooses forty senior students in No.2 middle school as subjects, and then carries out the experiment for a month. During the experiment, because all kinds of elements are well controlled, the author obtains the valid and authentic data, and then takes paired-sample T test with Spss10.0 for windows. After integrating with interview data, it is concluded that: the teaching method of integrated con-curve-function with drawing animated trace is superior to normal software method. However, the test period is too short to show remarkable affections on student's unit mark of cone- curve-function. But if the teaching method is used in a long term, students will form information attainments easily.
