Since the issue of the central 16th document, relative research and practice on enhancing and improving the ideological and political education of university students are extremely active and successful. But, combined with Beijing's conducting of the 2008 Olympic Games, the research and practice on strengthening and improving the ideological and political education of the university students are few. The various publications in the newspapers and periodicals which just scratch the surface, and always stop at the shallow "discussed" with the research owing depth and system and the practice lacking of theoretical instruction.Probably it is just like the saying goes: pays a man back in his own coin. Although on July 13, 2001 Beijing, China succeeded in obtaining the holding of the 2008 Olympic Games. And Chinese nation's hundred- year-dream has eventually become reality. The entire front, all the domain, all the people all over the country suggested plans and invested output, in order to conduct a characteristic and high level Olympic Games. However, the ideological and political education of university student remains that "no matter how emotional the students rushed, I still stand my ground steadfastly", and appeared unusually tranquil, or even desolate.However is it necessary to discuss the ideological and political education of University student and Olympics movement in the same place? Can they be put in the same place to discuss? What relations do they have on earth?The reply is a loud "yes". It's quite necessary. And the relation dose exist, it moreover may be interacting, and should be interacting. And it can be a double-win.This article sets the 16th document issued by the central committee in 2004 and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as the background. It starts from analyzing the relations between the university students and the modern Olympics Games. Then it has a deep analyze on their relatedness and difference. Emphatically it clarifies the value of Olympics movement on strengthening and improving the ideological and political education of university students, as well as how will ideological and political education of university students contributes to the impetus of the world Olympics movement development and proposes countermeasures on achieving the double-win interactions and questions that need to be paid attention to.It pointed out that the university students once were the main participants of the modern Olympics Games and have always been positive supporters of the modern Olympics Games. So they are undoubtedly "the name card" of demonstrating the Chinese image during the Beijing Olympic Games period.It is believed that there is an intrinsic relationship between the ideological and political education of university students and Olympics movement. They have the same subject--- to educate people; have the same development idea--- to promote human's full scale development on the base of humanism; have the same main body---the young people; have the same education channel----the School physical education. Meanwhile, they are entirely two different cultural phenomena, bearing obvious realistic differences.The research paper emphatically pointed out that the value of the strength and improvement of Olympics movement on the ideological and political education of university student chiefly manifest in the foliowings: The Olympics movement strengthens people' s understanding of the physical education function ideologically and politically. The Olympics spirit is the important content of ideological and political education of university students; The Olympics movement has produced multitudinously examples - - Olympic Game stars who are worth learning by the university students. The Olympic Games scandals have provided negative materials for the university students' ideological and political education. The history of China's participation in Olympic Games is vivid teaching materials for the university student's participation in developing the socialistic education. The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games provides a historical opportunity for the university students to strengthen the ideological and political education. At the same time, there are logical relations in the ideological and political education of university students in the impetus of Olympics movement development that is: the objective of Olympics movement, to maintain the world peace. Simultaneously, the Olympics movement development needs a peaceful international environment. China is a great nation of pivotal status. China's peaceful rise has vital significance to the world peace. While the ideological and political education of university students provides talents for our country's peaceful rise. At the same time, the ideological and political education of university students has a special and vital function to the Beijing Olympic Games' success.This article regards that in order to realize bidirectional interaction of the ideological and political education of university students and the Olympics movement, there are four requirements to follow: 1st, to make the university students have a straight understanding, and face up to the influence of Olympics movement to the university students' thought; 2nd, to enhance ideological and political education worker's Olympics education and training in universities; 3rd, to positively carry out the Olympics knowledge popularization education among the university students; 4th, to persist "the health first", and to develop sports; 5th, to fully excavate the functions of the Olympics movement's ideological and political education.At the same time, the research paper represents that in the process of bidirectional interaction of the ideological and political education of university students and the Olympics movement, several pairs of relations need to be treated correctly: political nature and non-political nature; essence and dregs; form and content; process and result; gradualness and endurance.
