The study on high school graduates'application for college is mainly concerned about how high school graduates acquire relevant information, how they are affected by relevant factors and the characteristics of their behavior in choosing a right college for themselves, with the hope that the reflection and exploration can help to improve college recruitment from the micro perspective.Accordingly, the study set up assumed mode of high school students'behavior in college application and identify it by analyzing the data obtained in the questionnaire and related theories. Finally I will analyze the practical application of the amended mode.The resulted behavior mode can be described as: Overall, the process of the behavior in choosing a college is the choice maker's psychological cognition of all the information that stimulate and act on the choice maker, which lead to corresponding choice. Specifically, high school graduates with some personal preference selectively accept some information stimulated from families, schools, society and so on; in turn this information retroact their preferences, values and other psychological factors, thus affect their choice , or even lead to nonfeasance. As for those being led to nonfeasance, their parents or other people will make the choice for them. According to the behavior mode, here are some suggestions on improving the publicity work for college recruitment .(1) information dissemination target groups should not only include College candidates but also include other people which have impact on the candidates such as parents groups, secondary school teachers, and community news media.(2) The extension of the propaganda targets need to be achieved by improving the strategy. College recruitment strategy formulation should be practical and based on the principle of truth-seeking and local conditions. It should also combine the points of concern of the college candidates, the earliest stage of students'perception of the school and information-gathering methods; thus the promotional theme, the best time to publicize information and publicity channels could be decided. Also alumni, teachers and students in school and journalists work as a useful supplement besides the full-time publicity team, so that the actual results of publicity strategy can be better achieved and improved.
