This thesis proposes the assumption that the writer can find the effective strategies of decreasing the level of students' language learning anxiety,and transformation of debilitating anxiety into facilitating anxiety by using the research results on language learning anxiety at home and abroad with the guidance of the theories of language learning anxiety and its correlative theories of affective factors such as motivation,attitude, learning styles and learning circumstances,etc..To achieve the goal,the writer selected 50 students of Grade 2007 to be main objects of study,understanding the students' the level of anxiety and the relationship between the level of anxiety and students' learning achievements,affect,attitude toward language learning,and the effect of learning a foreign language.This study is processed in a way of survey,analysis and empirical study.The writer raised hypotheses and used many ways of research like scale measuring,observing, interviewing,literature studying,and empirical studying.Finally the writer got the obvious effects of research with the description of the valid results of the using of effective strategies,the students' achieving satisfied achievements in NMET of 2007,the conformation of the factors that causing anxiety,testing research hypotheses,and the conclusion of effective ways of relieving students' English language learning anxiety described as following:·Construction of loose and comfortable learning circumstances;·Effective activities of relaxation before class;·Authoritative and positive suggestions to the effects of the students' learning;·Improving the students' tolerance of ambiguity of foreign language learning;·Developing the students' self-confidence by making them to see his/her progress little by little,even tiny improvements in every examination.·Assessment in a positive way;·Promoting collaborative learning;·Keeping good and harmonious relationship between teachers and their students.Meanwhile,the writer have found and discussed the shortcomings in the procedure of research and aspects that the writer should pay special attention to in the future.
