The Research On Ideological Political Quality Of Undergraduates

The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party State Council has printed and issued "About the Opinion of Further Strengthening and Improving the Ideological Political Education for Undergraduates"in 2004(Chinese[2004]No.16 document).In order to thoroughly implemente the spirit of the document and practically improve the political ideology for tertiary-level undergraduate,based on the main content of the ideological political education for undergraduates in China,and by means of random sample questionnaire,induction and so on,the paper has analyzed six aspects of the students' "learning awareness,moral awareness,political awareness,awareness of participation in state affairs,awarness on Marxism and Leninism,ideal and faith".The students investigated are from school of Politics and Public Administration,school of Physical Education,school of Resources and Environment,school of Education,school of Electronic and Information Engineering,school of Material Science and Engineering,school of Physics in SouthwestUniversity and range from grade 2003 to 2006.During the investigation,2380 questionnaires are sent out and 2356 questionnaires are taken back,containing 2303 valid questionnaires,which accounts to 96.76%in all questionnaires.After statistically analysis,the overview of ideological political quality of undergraduates in Southwest University is good,but about 30%students investigated seem having obvious problems m this aspect.The results of investigation provides the firsthand material and data for strengthening and improving the ideological political quality of undergraduates in our schools.Meanwhile,according to the factors of freshmen enrollment,students' personal causes,universities,majors,society and education acceptation,the paper studies the method on further improving the ideological political education for undergraduates,and thinks that it would be prompted effectively by adopting the new educational methods of "introspection" and "love". Besides catalogue,Chinese and English abstracts,literature review,conclusion, references,appendix and postscript,the context is composed of the followings:Chapter Two illustrates the purpose and the significance of carrying out the reseach on ideological political quality of undergraduates,and points out the study perspective and originality of the paper.Chapter Three is the related conceptes on the subject are clarified as well.Chapter Four analyzes the results of the investigation on ideological political quality of undergraduates in Southwest University from different perspectives.Chapter Five discusses the main causes for the fomation of the undergraduates' ideological political quality in Southwest University;Chapter Six,according to the main causes for the fomation of the undergraduates' ideological political quality,the paper gives the methods and suggestions on prompting the undergraduates' ideological political quality.
