The Changes Of Villagers' Cooperation Tradition Duiring The Period Of The Society Reform

The traditional folk society of China has a tradition of cooperating and helping each other, which is distinctly local as a regional tradition. These cooperation forms changed a lot when the society changed, and some even disappeared. This paper takes Zhencun in the mountain area of Shandong for example, describes the main cooperation tradition of the place, analyzes the characteristics of the changes, and tries to show the local foundation of the changes to provide a possible angle of view for understanding the developing of new form of cooperationThe paper divides the cooperation of Zhencun into three types: producing cooperation, living cooperation, and operating cooperation. When talking about the developing of these three types, the paper emphasizes on different aspect. In the part of producing cooperation, it mainly talks about the constituents of the cooperating tradition and analyzes their characteristic. Living cooperation emphasizes the factors which influence the changes of the cooperating tradition. Operating cooperation discuss the relation among different powers of the village on the basis of the developing of the cooperating tradition.From the survey, it is found that although Zhencun is lack of institutional cooperation mode, and the family power is not as strong as the village in the south, the tradition of cooperation, which centers on family, still plays an important role. During the period that the society reformed, the form of the cooperation changed greatly. However, the main power that influenced the cooperation is the traditional factor. At the same time, the paper pays attention to the profound influence caused by the strong national power and market economy.Currently, the cooperation of Zhencun becomes diverse in form. On the other hand, it develops towards the direction of employment. The employed labors increased a lot, and the interpersonal relationship changed a lot. These shock the traditional notion of cooperation, and the cooperation of village adjusts.Family is one of the traditional factors this paper probes. The family power of Zhencun changed gradually, and it is inevitable for it to withdraw from the cooperation. However, it is special in the construction of the villages'spirit, and its acting space may be wider.The survey is local; therefore, the exploration of the changes of cooperating tradition in Zhencun cannot reflect the whole society. So, the author's conclusion is not widely used. However, the problems the local cooperating tradition meets during the period that the society reforms are similar. The traditions are influenced by both market and national power. Thus, at the end of the paper, the author proposes that if the national power tries to influence or even lead the transformation of local traditions, it should provide some space for self-transforming, or even give up the leading status. On the other hand, the national power should not give up the subject position when building up the social market welfare system.
