Lineal planning, with mathematical knowledge as its tool, is aimed at studying how to make meticulous calculations and artful arrangements by utilizing the fewest resources to achieve the maximal economic efficiency. It is based on such conditions as limited resources in humans,properties,objects,temporal and spatial factors. If people can master such knowledge, it will be of utmost benefit to their jobs and studies. Just arising out of this consideration, the teaching contents about lineal planning from the textbooks are relegated from the universities to middle schools. So to speak, it poses a great challenge to teaching practice for maths teachers in middle schools.The paper commences from teaching research centered around lineal planning contents. To put it first, an elaboration is made upon the teaching conditions with regard to lineal planning from the perspective of middle schools both at home and abroad. Moreover, an analysis of their classification has been made. What follows is the research on lineal planning teaching from two major aspects. On one hand, I make research on its teaching strategies. In order words, the research is done on the basis of class teaching mode. Despite the fact that the studies on this layer have something in common with other contents. Here I make a comprehensive analysis by integrating the contents of lineal planning, which renders these class teaching modes extraordinary. The diversification of teaching methods can be realized to activate students'learning. Such teaching methods comprise of self—taught lessons in an outline,instruction and mutual help. Furthermore, lessons by note—taking lessons by recording,lessons through field exploration,lessons conducted by top students,lessons by problem-eliciting.The second section deals with the difficulties in studying lineal planning. Firstly, investigate what're the difficulties for students while solving problems in lineal planning; then, relevant methods are presented to break through the difficulties. I provide a teaching sample in support of those mentioned above. What come next is the analysis of the teaching sample and the comment on its success.Finally, some suggestions are offered on teaching in lineal planning in the paper.
